Contract J. The game follows John Jack, a professional killer recruited by H. Rather, J. After a night of heavy drinking, Jack is apprehended by thugs, who are ordered to kill him. Before they can, he breaks free from the ropes that tied him to a chair and slaughters the thugs that swarm the building. Before he can leave, he receives a phone call from Dimitrij Volkov, H.
Volkov tells Jack to report to a job interview at the Roman ruins on Malta. The interview consists of Jack mowing down waves of H. In the end, Jack is hired by H. For his first assignment, Jack must infiltrate a Czechoslovakian military base to figure out why Danger Danger is interested in it.
Upon delving deeper into the base, Jack becomes aware that the facility is a secret rocket launch site. Danger Danger is trying to use a Czech rocket to recover Dr.
Harij, a H. Although Danger Danger is able to launch a rocket full of their men, Jack commandeers a second rocket and heads to the moon after them. On the moon, Jack must fight through Danger Danger goons to get to Dr. Danger Danger reaches the scientist first, and they begin destroying the lunar base to prevent Jack from escaping. Jack reaches Danger Danger's rocket seconds before it lifts-off.
The effects of the rocket's propulsion and the base's explosion send Jack floating through space on a collision course with the Sun. Il Pazzo Italian for "The Crazy One" , leader of Danger Danger, begins dispatching men to kill Jack, but he fails, and Jack floats to the other rocket, which had been floating among the debris of the base. Jack crashes his rocket into the Italian countryside of Tuscany. Il Pazzo is nearby with Dr. Harij, and he flees on a gondola.
Jack steals a machine gun-equipped Vespa and pursues them while crossing the city of Florence. Using cannons positioned around the building, Jack kills the defenders. A long-distance battle then ensues between Jack and Il Pazzo. Jack wins, but is not able to kill Il Pazzo completely. After rescuing Dr. Harij, Jack is shot by Volkov and left to die. The game ends with Jack rising up and limping toward Volkov's skis.
It is believed that the ending implied why Volkov is confined in a wheel chair and covered in a full-body plaster cast in No One Lives Forever 2. The game received mixed reviews according to the review aggregation website Metacritic. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Worth Playing. It's just no fun. There have been a lot of classic shooters that are just mayhem with no story to speak of "Quake" and shooters that depended on tiny details and story as much as the graphics engine "No One Lives Forever 2". I was so frustrated at the game, the entire experience was comically agonizing, sort of like a newer Martin Short "film" that tries to be funny but winds up being hilarious for all the wrong reasons.
To be brutally honest, I'm not entirely sure why Monolith wasted their time making this game, other than to cash in on the franchise. Yes, there is some comedy dialog, but not much. No cool gadgets like NOLF although, they have left a couple of the horrendously difficult to control vehicles in No real variety in the missions. All pretty much wading in guns blazing. And its way WAY too short I finished it in about 6 hours.
I'm totally at a loss as to what they were trying to achieve with this bilge, other than cashing in on a well respected franchise. Monolith, you really should be ashamed of yourselves.

The combat in No-one lives forever 2 wasn't incredibly fun, not even nearly fun enough to make a game based on it. The story, as with the other games, was alright, interesting, new.
But the fact that it lasts about 1 hour of gametime ruins this and any other good nature about this game, all in all I'd rather take my heart out of my chest and eat it than to play this game again. No interludes between missions, no detailed information on the characters. Play this game for for the sake of shooting, though a couple of missions closely resemble that of NOLF2 that were enjoyable.
The ending is the worst I have seen. A pure anticlimax. Your only solace is the answer to the the following 2 questions: 1.
Overall: not worth the money A simple, lighthearted shooter in the NOLF universe. Not an epic, but not entirely vacuous either. Good selection of weapons, and just enough story to validate the product takes place between the events of NOLF 1 and 2, and you play as an agent of H. At a bargain price, you can't go wrong here. I ran it just fine on windows 7, and finished the single player in a few days. Glad I added it to my collection.
As other posters have noted, the game is exceedingly short. I'm not very good at first-person shooters and it only took me six hours to complete on normal difficulty.
I understand that this game was half-priced, but I still expected more than one afternoon of fun. It is doubly irritating that the box claims 10 single-player levels when, in fact, there are only seven.
In interviews, Monolith developers claimed that Cate Archer makes a "brief but memorable appearance. What's good about this game? Well, it looks like they made some minor improvements to the Jupiter graphics engine.
The AIs are smarter, too. With so many reviews covering virtually every element of the series, one would think that there would be no point to covering the game itself. Everything that needed to be said, has. However, I wanted to take a bit of a different perspective through this and provide some what of a different, but similar review. The series itself takes full immersion in being modeled after the spy flicks and novels of yesteryear. The game, now over a decade old, was set in the 60s and focused on Cate and her stopping H.
M from taking over the world. Levels were colorful, unique and locations were plenty. Creativity was abundantly shown in the locations, to falling out of a plane, to exploring a sub underwater, to a base in outer space.
